Job summary

Avanos Medical is seeking a Territory Manager for Surgical Pain to cover Newark, NJ and surrounding markets. You will drive sales of On-Q and Ambit Pump products by building relationships with surgeons, hospitals, and ASC staff, including presence during procedures and active account management.

The ideal candidate will have a four-year sales track record, operating room experience, and knowledge of the hospital buying process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field.
• At least four years of demonstrated success in sales, with at least two years in medical sales targeting surgeons, hospitals and ASCs.
• At least one year of experience in an operating room setting.
• Understanding of hospital/ASC buying processes (GPOs, IDNs, distributors).
• Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies (fee-for-service, value-based care).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to manage time and priorities.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%, including overnights.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with surgeons, physicians, therapists, nurses, clinicians, and decision makers within assigned accounts.
• Be present during procedures to answer product questions in the OR.
• Close new sales opportunities and protect existing market share.
• Be in the field at least 4.5 days per week engaging with customers.
• Develop and execute strategies to achieve business objectives.
