Job summary

Avanos Medical is seeking a Territory Manager for Surgical Pain covering Albuquerque, NM, Santa Fe, NM and Tucson, AZ. The role focuses on meeting sales objectives for On-Q and Ambit Pump lines within hospitals, ASCs and surgical centers across a broad geographic territory.

The ideal candidate brings a Bachelor’s in business or marketing and 4+ years of sales experience, including at least 2 years in medical sales, with OR exposure and strong healthcare knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field.
• 4+ years of sales success with at least 2 years in medical sales calling on surgeons, hospitals and ASCs.
• At least 1 year of operating room experience.
• Understanding hospital/ASC buying processes including GPOs, IDNs, and distributors.
• Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies.
• Ability to travel up to 50%, including overnights.
• Proficient with PC-based applications (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with surgeons, physicians, therapists, nurses, clinicians and other decision makers in assigned accounts.
• Presence during surgical procedures to answer product questions in OR settings.
• Close new sales opportunities and protect existing market share.
• Be in the field at least 4.5 days per week.
• Develop and execute strategies to achieve business objectives.
• Lead in strategic and tactical planning with Regional Manager.
• Provide product training and in-servicing as needed.
