Job summary

Northern Dutchess Hospital is seeking a board-certified, full-time Physician Assistant to join its Surgical PA Service. This hospital-based team provides exposure to multiple surgical subspecialties with a strong DaVinci robotic surgery program.

Responsibilities include OR first assist, rounding, admissions, and night/weekend coverage. Competitive compensation, generous CME and dues allowances, and a supportive learning environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• NCCPA certified.
• 1–3 years surgical experience preferred; new grads considered.
• Surgical and patient management experience highly valued.

Responsibilities

• OR first assisting for general, plastic, spine, bariatric and OB/GYN cases.
• Rounding on general surgery patients as part of a team.
• Admissions and consults for general surgeons.
• Night coverage from home; on-call for emergent cases.
• Floor procedures including NG tubes, wound care, I&D.
