Job summary

Northwell Health's Northern Dutchess Hospital in the Hudson Valley seeks a board-certified, full-time Physician Assistant to join its Surgical PA Service. The role emphasizes OR first assist coverage and perioperative management with exposure to multiple surgical subspecialties.

This hospital-based, team-oriented group offers onboarding, night call from home, and opportunities to work with DaVinci robotic cases. Competitive compensation and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program and NCCPA certified.
• Candidates with 1–3 years of surgical experience preferred; new grads considered.
• Strong surgical and patient management skills are required.

Responsibilities

• OR First Assist for general, plastic, spine, bariatric and OB/GYN cases.
• Rounding on general surgery patients as part of a team-based approach.
• Consults and admissions coverage for general surgeons.
• Night on-call coverage from home for emergent cases and admissions.
• Floor procedures including NG tube, wound care and bedside I&D.
• Coordinate cross-coverage between NDH PA services and Vassar Brothers.
