Northwell Health is looking for a board-certified per diem Physician Assistant to join their Surgical PA Service at Northern Dutchess Hospital and Vassar Brothers Medical Center. This role involves OR first assist coverage, perioperative management, and inpatient rounding in a supportive, team-based environment.

Candidates should be graduates of accredited PA programs and possess strong surgical experience. A highly competitive compensation package, comprehensive benefits, and allowances for continuing education are provided.

Qualifications

• Candidates with at least 1-3 years of surgical experience preferred.
• New graduates and nurse practitioners with RNF certification will be considered.

Responsabilités

• Assist in the OR for various surgical specialties.
• Round on general surgery patients daily.
• Cover admissions and consults for surgeons.
• Provide on-call coverage from home.
• Perform floor procedures including NG tube insertion.

Connaissances

Strong surgical and patient management experience

Ability to perform floor procedures

Team-based approach with attendings

Formation

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program

NCCPA certification
