Job summary

Surgicare of South Austin, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Surgical OR Technician PRN to support operations under the supervision of an RN. The role focuses on sterile technique, assisting the surgeon, and efficient turnover of ORs across multiple cases.

Qualifications include completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program, one year OR experience (ambulatory setting preferred), and a valid BCLS certification. The facility emphasizes patient safety and collaborative care.

Qualifications

• One year experience in an operating room setting (preferably ambulatory surgery center).
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program (preferred).
• Valid BCLS Certification upon employment (Online certification not acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Assist in provision of safe nursing care in the OR under RN direction.
• Scrub and assist surgeon at operative field; ensure sterile technique.
• Turnover OR suites between cases and prepare rooms for the next day.
