Job summary

Surgicare of South Austin seeks a Certified Surgical OR Technician (PRN) to support outpatient procedures in our modern ambulatory surgery center. Responsibilities include preparing ORs, assembling and maintaining sterile fields, passing instruments, handling specimens, and counting supplies to ensure patient safety.

The tech will collaborate closely with surgeons, RNs and anesthesia staff, follow infection control and safety protocols, and document accurately.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist or equivalent.
• Strong sterile technique and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work variable PRN shifts in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for procedures and assemble/maintain sterile fields.
• Pass instruments and handle specimens during surgery.
• Count supplies to ensure patient safety and accuracy.
• Collaborate with surgeons, RNs and anesthesia staff and document accurately.
