Job summary

Surgicare of South Austin seeks a Certified Surgical OR Technician (PRN) to support outpatient procedures in our modern ambulatory surgery center. Responsibilities include preparing ORs, assembling and maintaining sterile fields, passing instruments, handling specimens, and counting supplies to ensure patient safety.

The tech will collaborate closely with surgeons, RNs, and anesthesia staff, follow infection control and safety protocols, and document accurately.

Qualifications

• Current CST credential or equivalent required.
• Strong sterile technique skills to prevent infection.
• Excellent attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
• Flexibility to work variable PRN shifts in ambulatory care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for procedures and ensure sterile fields.
• Pass instruments and assist surgeons during cases.
• Handle specimens and manage counts with team accuracy.
