Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Accredited surgical technology program completed.
• Certification as Surgical Technologist (CST).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Prior OR experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms with instruments, equipment, and sterile drapes for procedures.
• Assist surgeons and nurses by passing instruments and supplies during surgery.
• Maintain aseptic technique and infection control throughout procedures.
• Inspect and ensure proper functioning of instruments and equipment.
• Manage inventory and restock supplies to prevent delays in schedules.
• Clean, sterilize, and store instruments post-procedure.
• Document procedures and instrument counts to ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with team to ensure smooth OR turnover and safety.
