Job summary

Hayes Valley Surgery Center is seeking an Operating/Procedure Room Technician to support surgeons with instrumentation and ensure sterile, prepared instruments for procedures. You will monitor instrument PAR levels and take part in ongoing staff meetings and quality improvement activities.

The role requires a high school diploma, preferably an OR tech certification or two years of on-the-job experience, and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.

Qualifications

• Reads and communicates effectively in English.
• Shows ability to provide age-appropriate patient care and teamwork.
• Knowledge of instruments and surgical techniques; instrument counts and cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with instrumentation during surgical interventions.
• Monitor PAR levels of instruments and supplies.
• Clean and sterilize surgical instruments.
• Participate in staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
