RWJBarnabas Health’s Jersey City Medical Center is seeking an OR Tech III to join the Operating Room team. You will collaborate with the perioperative nurse to organize and deliver age-specific patient care and support safe outcomes in the surgical suite and across the perioperative division.

The position requires a Surgical Technician certification, high school diploma, and 2–3 years of experience with scrub skills across robotics, vascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, spine, ortho, and

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Surgical Technician training program.
• 2–3 years of experience.
• Proficient in scrubbing service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, trauma.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to make calls, be flexible, multitask and work independently.

Pay Range: $31.41 - $38.42 per hour

Pay Transparency: The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

In collaboration with the perioperative registered nurse, the surgical technician will function as a member of the team to organize and administer individualizes age specific care to patients, maintain an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes, and ensure patient’s physiologic responses to surgery are as expected in the surgical suite and across the perioperative division.

Qualifications:

• HighSchooldiplomaorequivalent
• Completion of an Surgical Technician training program
• 2 – 3 years of experience
• Must have strong knowledge with skill being able to scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally and written)
• Must be able to make calls. Must be flexible, able to multitask and be able to work independently

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA) required
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification required with American Heart Association

Scheduling Requirements:

• 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
• Every other weekend and Holiday
• Part Time
