Job summary

Michigan Orthopaedic Surgeons Pllc is seeking an Operating Room Assistant (ORA) to support the surgical team under RN supervision. The role includes room turnover, inventory management, equipment assistance, and safe handling of supplies to ensure smooth patient care in the OR.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and preferably prior OR experience with sterile technique and medical terminology. The position emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Operating Room experience with general knowledge of sterile technique and medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate room cleaning and turnover time with the surgical team.
• Clean surgical area and equipment following center guidelines and product instructions.
• Handle supplies and equipment safely, assist with opening sterile supplies, and log humidity/temperature as required.
• Stock supplies and maintain inventory in ORs, anesthesia carts, and storage areas.
• Support case setup by ensuring all needed supplies/equipment are available and reported if missing.
