You will assist with intraoperative preparation, address patients' physical and psychosocial needs, and help maintain a safe, respectful environment for patients and staff.

This role thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting, emphasizes teamwork, and requires a current BLS (CPR) certification, a high school diploma, and preferred Nursing Assistant training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Nursing Assistant program preferred.
• Related experience in patient care preferred.
• Current BLS (CPR) certification required, in compliance with Meritus Health policy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a clinical environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and team-based support.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the physical and emotional needs of surgical patients before, during, and after procedures
• Support the surgical team by preparing equipment, supplies, and patient areas
• Maintain effective communication with team members to ensure continuity of care
• Foster positive relationships with other departments and nursing units
• Demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and empathy in all patient interactions
• Uphold Meritus Health’s standards of safety, service, and collaboration
