Job summary

The Christ College seeks a dedicated healthcare assistant to support surgical services. This role ensures a sterile, organized OR environment, assists with patient positioning, and coordinates with nurses to maintain safety and efficiency during procedures.

You will follow infection control practices, transport specimens as needed, and contribute to teamwork during emergencies, shifts, and daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: None.
• BLS certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure OR remains clean, uncluttered and stocked with supplies and equipment.
• Proper cleaning and placement of essential equipment needed for scheduled cases.
• Transport specimens as directed by RN and assist with patient positioning.
• Receives case carts from Central and delivers to the proper OR room before scheduled start time.
• Follows infection control and universal precautions; keeps unit clean.
• Report safety hazards and coordinate with maintenance as needed.
