Job summary

Covenant HealthCare is seeking a Surgical Services Unit Aide to support patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will help patients and visitors while maintaining a positive unit appearance and ensuring compliance with hospital standards.

Responsibilities include assisting OR staff, transporting items, and keeping rooms clean and stocked. Training in sterile technique and safety protocols will be provided, with emphasis on reliability and teamwork in a fast-paced surgical

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• BLS Heartsaver required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Models Covenant's Mission, Vision and Values in daily work.
• Assists patients and visitors under RN direction and provides excellent customer service.
• Maintains safe, clean work areas in storage and OR rooms.
• Assesses beds, stretchers, and lighting and initiates repair orders when needed.
• Transports medications, equipment, blood, specimens and patients.
• Cleans and processes scopes and eye instruments; supports OR staff with sterile technique.
