Job summary

You will review perioperative data, communicate changes, and maintain detailed records, using case management software and Excel.

This role requires 2 years of surgery scheduling experience, High School/GED, and strong PC skills.

Qualifications

• 2 years Surgery Scheduling in either OR or Clinic setting.
• High School/GED required.
• Pass medical terminology test or equivalent knowledge.
• Knowledge of surgical supplies and equipment.
• Strong PC and data entry skills (Excel/Word).

Responsibilities

• Maximize operating room utilization by booking cases by priority and length.
• Create, move, cancel, and reschedule cases; maintain daily schedule and wait list.
• Perform scheduling functions using current computer systems and software.
• Manage/edit case depot as needed.
• Communicate schedule changes to relevant personnel and departments.
• Coordinate patient prep and lab tests; inform cost share obligations and allergies.
• Maintain detailed records; submit monthly statistics in Excel.
• Assist surgical patients by coordinating dates and drafting letters as needed.
