Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room at Abington Memorial Hospital in Abington, PA. This full-time day shift role requires prior OR experience, circulating and scrubbing, with four 10-hour shifts available.

You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and staff to deliver safe, efficient perioperative care, educate patients and families, and participate in safety and quality improvement initiatives within a dynamic OR team.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Bachelor’s degree BSN or higher strongly preferred within 3 years of hire.
• Active RN license in state of practice (Pennsylvania).
• Knowledge of patient and family-centered care, cultural sensitivity, and respectful communication.
• Proficiency in basic life support (BLS) as per AHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients, families, and staff in alignment with Jefferson values.
• Collaborate with interprofessional teams to deliver safe, compassionate care.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and post-discharge needs.
• Monitor patient outcomes and participate in quality and safety initiatives.
• Document patient histories, assessments, and care plans in the health record.
