Job summary

MercyOne in Clive, IA is seeking a full-time perioperative nurse to provide intraoperative care in scrub and circulating roles. The position requires availability for call, weekends, nights and holidays as scheduled.

You will prepare for surgical cases, maintain aseptic technique, and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR staff to deliver safe, efficient patient care. Current Iowa RN license and BLS are required; OR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Iowa or a compact state.
• BLS certification within 6 weeks of hire.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Operating Room experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs and circulates on cases in the intraoperative phase.
• Prepares for surgical cases and anticipates needs of patient, surgeon, anesthesia and OR team.
• Maintains aseptic technique and safe environment for patient and staff.
• Documents in surgical records and participates in turnover.
