Job summary

JMC Jefferson Medical Center is seeking a Supply Coordinator to develop, implement, and maintain surgical inventory systems supporting patient care. You will work under the OR Director and collaborate with surgeons, nursing staff, and technicians to ensure availability of supplies and equipment.

The role focuses on accurate inventory control, cost reduction, and timely replenishment, with responsibility for daily operations, records, and adherence to aseptic techniques in the OR.

Qualifications

• Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in operating patient care equipment.
• Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions and policies/standards/protocols.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages efficient acquisition of surgical inventory materials.
• Maintains perpetual inventory accuracy and locator systems.
• Implements reorder management with par levels to optimize stock and costs.
• Coordinates vendor deliveries and assists surgeon as needed.
• Operates and troubleshoots OR equipment as required.
• Maintains records and processes patient requisitions and procedure data.
