Job summary

West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital is seeking a Hospital Environmental Service Aide to perform daily cleaning of Surgical Service areas, handle linen, transport equipment and patients, stock supplies and maintain inventory. You will also transport patients and lab specimens as needed and uphold policy-driven cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• One-year experience in cleaning or janitorial work.
• Preferred OR/OB cleaning housekeeping experience.
• Ability to read and follow instructions verbal and written.
• Understand visual aids.
• Ability to use and maintain cleaning equipment and chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning of defined Surgical Service areas.
• Linen handling, equipment and patient transfer, stocking supplies, inventory maintenance.
• Transport of patients and lab specimens as needed.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in accordance with policy and procedures.
