The University of Miami Health System (UHealth) is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical Telemetry department in UTower. The role focuses on delivering family-centered care, supervising nursing staff, and coordinating patient plans.

Licensure in Florida with ACLS/BLS is required, BSN preferred or ASN with BSN completion plan. Responsibilities include assessing patients, documenting care, coordinating with physicians, and ensuring safety and compliance with HIPAA

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures.
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (i.e. sanitation, decontamination etc.).
• Excellent patient experience skills.
• Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
• Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.

Responsabilités

• Delivers patient-family centered care utilizing evidence-based standards of quality, safety, and service.
• Oversees nurses and allied health staff in daily practice.
• Assesses patients and documents nursing care plans.
• Reports changes in patient condition and vital signs.
• Modifies treatment plans based on patient responses and physician orders.
• Consults with physicians and other healthcare professionals on patient care plans.
• Prepares patients for examinations, procedures and treatments.
• Communicates plan of care to patient, family, and team while adhering to HIPAA.
