Job summary

The University of Miami/UHealth, department of Medical Surgical Telemetry at UTower is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to provide patient-family centered care with evidence-based practices. You will oversee daily practice of nursing and allied staff, coordinate care plans, and support discharge planning in a fast-paced academic medical setting.

The role requires a Florida RN license (ACLS, BLS) and at least 2 years of nursing experience; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Florida RN license required; ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and document nursing care plans.
• Modify care plans per patient response and physician orders.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications and maintain records per regulations.
• Communicate plan of care to patient, family, and team.
• Assist with discharge planning and adapt to changing demands.
• Serve as preceptor for new staff and ensure policy adherence.
