Job summary

Renown Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner specialized in Surgical Oncology to collaborate with surgeons and the care team. You will coordinate oncology surgical consultations and provide comprehensive patient care across age groups, emphasizing evidence-based practice and efficiency in service delivery.

You will manage assessments, treatment plans, and education while adhering to state regulations and institutional policies.

Qualifications

English proficiency to perform duties safely and effectively.
Master’s prepared registered nurse (RN).
Two years minimum experience as an RN; six months as NP preferred.
Active Nevada Advanced Practice license with prescriptive authority and DEA registration.
Board Certification as FNP/ACNPC-AG/ACNP/ANPCB; First Assist certification required or to be obtained within first year.
BLS or ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

Coordinate oncologic surgery consultations and patient care with oncology team.
Prescribe medications in line with Nevada laws and physician supervision.
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for adolescent to geriatric patients.
Provide patient and family education and participate in program development and quality initiatives.
Ensure compliance with nursing and medical protocols and maintain high standards of care.
