Job summary

Duke Health in Durham, NC seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for its Medical Oncology service. The role is on-site with a schedule that includes weekends and holidays, partnering with attending physicians to deliver high-quality patient care.

The APP will manage clinical data, order/interpret tests, and coordinate consults while maintaining strong documentation and adherence to Duke Health policies.

Qualifications

• Education required for Nurse Practitioners or PAs with relevant state licensure.
• Master’s degree in Nursing or PA certification with NC licensure preferred.
• Experience in hematology/oncology is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in inpatient oncology settings.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and coordinate care.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Document care plans and ensure compliance with policies.
• Participate in education of patients, families, and learners.
