Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Oncology: Surgery Multi Disciplinary department. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with hours from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities include patient prep, vital signs, basic lab work, assisting providers, and administering routine medications under supervision. BLS and MA credentials are required or preferred depending on the facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Associate’s Degree in Medical Assisting preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.
• Medical Assistant certification (CMA/CCMA/NCMA/RMA/NHCWA/NAHP) preferred/required in many facilities.

Responsabilités

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and gathering health information.
• Performs basic laboratory procedures using aseptic technique.
• Assists during examinations and procedures under physician/APP supervision.
• Administers routine medications per orders or standing protocols.
• Maintains clear communication with the health care team and patient.
