Job summary

Cancer Center of South Florida PLLC in Lakeland, FL seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to deliver inpatient and outpatient surgical oncology care as part of a physician-led team. The APP supports continuity across the surgical episode by preoperative optimization, coordinating surgical preparation, and assisting in the operating room as credentialed.

Responsibilities include first or second assist in procedures, postoperative handoffs, and comprehensive care coordination across oncology

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing.
• PA: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited PA program.
• Active RN and APRN license in Florida.
• Active NP board certification in: Adult; Adult/Gerontology; Acute Care; Family.

Responsibilities

• Provide assigned inpatient service coverage with daily rounds and care coordination.
• Participate in operating room coverage and perioperative support as credentialed.
• Conduct health history and physical assessments of oncology patients.
• Assist with specialty procedures and treatment plans.
• Coordinate care across oncology services and with care teams.
• Maintain timely clinical documentation and participate in QA and research initiatives.
• Provide outpatient clinic coverage and manage an independent clinical practice within scope.
