Job summary

Essentia Health - Fargo Surgery Unit is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under RN supervision. You will help with hygiene, nutrition, comfort, vital signs, and safe transfers while maintaining a clean and safe environment. The role supports patient flow and room turnover.

This position offers 8-hour shifts, daytime hours, and a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekend or holiday work. BLS is required within 3 months; CNAs preferred or eligible for ND Health registration.

Qualifications

• Direct patient care under supervision of RN or nurse manager.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort through daily care.
• Demonstrate empathy and effective communication with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene care and assist with nutritional needs.
• Assist with mobility, vital signs, and reporting changes to RN.
• Transport patients, support room turnovers, and manage basic supply needs.
