Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking Nursing Assistants for the Clinical Evaluation Unit in Fargo, ND. This 0.6 FTE evening shift (3:00pm–11:30pm) offers a $1,500 hiring incentive and a schedule with no weekends currently, subject to unit staffing needs.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, hygiene support, nutritional assistance, vital signs, and safe patient handling under RN supervision. BLS within 3 months and ND CNA certification are required or pursued within 3 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Direct patient care and safety-focused care delivery under RN supervision.
• Provide personal hygiene, nutrition support, comfort care, and safe transfers.
• Take and record vital signs; report changes promptly to RN to support care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Clinical Evaluation Unit.
• Assist with activities of daily living and nutritional needs.
• Document care provided and communicate changes to supervising staff.
• Maintain clean, safe environment to promote healing and comfort.
