Job summary

Logan Health Surgical Clinic in Kalispell, MT is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant (RMA or CMA) to support patients through their surgical journey. You will greet and prepare patients, assist surgical providers, and document care in the EMR, ensuring safety and compassion at every step.

You will also coordinate scheduling, referrals, and follow-ups while collaborating with surgeons, nurses, and clinic staff in a fast-paced surgical specialty setting.

Qualifications

• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or CMA certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical practice; surgical clinic preferred.
• HIPAA knowledge and medical terminology training preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including obtaining medical histories and vital signs.
• Assist surgical providers during examinations, minor procedures, and treatments while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Perform competency-validated clinical tasks, including wound care and dressing changes, and document in EMR.
• Coordinate patient care activities, including surgical scheduling, referrals, diagnostic testing, prior authorizations, and follow-up.
• Support daily clinic operations by maintaining exam rooms, equipment, and supplies, and assist with patient calls and portal communications.
