Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant – Technician Medical Surgical for a 40-hour workweek. The role travels among locations with on-site duties in Yorktown Heights, Cold Spring, Cortlandt Manor, and Ossining, NY, and requires 1+ year surgical MA experience.

You will measure vitals, draw blood, assist in procedures, maintain sterile fields, and manage supplies. Evening overtime may be required to support patient care needs.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a surgical setting.
• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of State/National accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe patient condition and report abnormalities to staff.
• Measure height/weight and take vital signs (BP, pulse).
• Draw blood or perform finger sticks and collect specimens.
• Assist with diagnostic procedures ensuring sterile technique.
• Position patients, perform wound care and dressings as needed.
• Maintain stock for examination and blood drawing rooms and records.
