Job summary

Minidoka Memorial Hospital is seeking a materials clerk to compile and maintain records of quantity, cost, and type of materials for the surgical department. You will prepare requisitions, move supplies between departments, and maintain accurate inventory levels.

Responsibilities include labeling supplies, auditing invoices against pricing, coordinating with vendors, and supporting annual physical inventory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year experience in a supply chain or logistics field.

Responsibilities

• Compiles and maintains records of quantity, cost, and type of material received, stocked, and issued for the surgical department.
• Fills requisitions by moving supplies to appropriate departments within the institution as requested and/or needed.
• Maintains accurate inventory control with regard to material received, stocked and issued.
• Labels medical and surgical supplies with appropriate charge labels.
• Works with internal and external vendor representatives to ensure accuracy and timeliness of order processing.
• Assists in annual physical inventory of medical and surgical supplies in General Stores.
• Works with billing department to verify accuracy of surgical charges based on current pricing agreements.
