Job summary

Steele Memorial Medical Center in Salmon, Idaho is hiring a Supply Chain Clerk to support daily operations in Materials Management. This entry-level role focuses on inventory, receiving, distribution and data entry to ensure supplies are tracked, stocked, and delivered for safe patient care.

You will handle receiving, stocking, packing, maintaining records in the system, monitor shortages, assist with cycle counts, and coordinate with internal departments and vendor partners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in supply chain, warehouse, inventory, or healthcare materials management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, count, weigh, sort and verify incoming shipments.
• Stock shelves, supply rooms, and par levels according to established inventory procedures.
• Pick, pack, and deliver supplies to clinical and non-clinical departments.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in the materials management system.
• Monitor stock levels and notify leadership of shortages, backorders, or unusual usage patterns.
• Assist with cycle counts and annual physical inventory.
• Prepare and process returns, credits, and exchanges with vendors.
• Maintain clean, organized storage areas that meet safety and regulatory standards.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal departments and externals partners.
• Stores articles in bins, or on shelves, according to identifying information.
• Fills orders or issues supplies from stock.
• Determines methods of storage, identification, and stock location, considering constraints.
• Outgoing packages with proper labels and paperwork.
• Other duties as assigned.
