Job summary

Prisma Health Surgery Center - Patewood in Greenville, SC seeks a procurement specialist to manage anesthesia supplies and equipment for surgical procedures. This role focuses on ensuring availability, accuracy, and cost-effective purchasing in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

You will work with department managers and vendors, maintain records, and support inventory and billing processes while upholding regulatory standards and patient‑centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 2–5 years of relevant work experience.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient with commonly used office software and quick to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Procure routine and specialty supplies and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Coordinate with department managers and vendors to resolve supply conflicts.
• Maintain daily electronic billing of supply/implant entries and ensure correct pricing.
• Monitor cost containment and assess substitutions and availability.
• Verify delivery receipts and ensure correct billing to patients.
• Collaborate with Atlas supply chain team and inventory system to reduce unnecessary purchase orders.
• Maintain capital equipment inventory and implant logs; coordinate maintenance schedules.
• Vet new equipment and instrumentation.
• Maintain inventory count sheets and par levels for all locations.
• Assist with updating physician preference cards with directors and managers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
