Ideal candidates have a materials/inventory background and can handle the fast-paced hospital environment, including potential travel to multiple sites and exposure to clinical settings.

Qualifications

• Prior materials/inventory background.
• Moderate lifting may be required; sustained concentration and close visual attention.
• Exposure to hospital environments, CRTs/noise; travel to multiple sites may be necessary.

Responsibilities

• Maintains inventory, par levels, and standardization of surgical supplies.
• Acts as liaison between staff, surgeons’ offices, and Materials Management.
• Coordinates with vendors for specialty items and implants for surgeons.
• Reduces inventory and cost of supplies on hand.
• Follows up on assignments, demonstrates problem solving with Materials staff and other departments.
• Manages time and priorities effectively in a dynamic healthcare setting.
