Job summary

Agiliti in El Paso, Texas seeks a Laser Technician I to maintain surgical equipment and ensure readiness for procedures. The role involves testing, cleaning, and sterilizing instruments in the operating room and supporting the team during operations.

The candidate will lift heavy loads, travel within facilities, and follow safety protocols. A high school diploma and helpful medical or military experience are preferred; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior medical, EMT, Surgical Technologist, or military experience preferred.
• Must hold a current, valid, and unrestricted driver’s license. Must have a safe driving record based on Agiliti policies.
• Must be able to lift up to eighty pounds and push or pull up to one hundred pounds.
• Must be able to stand and/or sit for long periods of time as well as being able to bend and reach repeatedly.
• Be able to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Tests, cleans, and sterilizes equipment in operating room prior to procedures.
• Present in operating room during procedures; level of involvement in procedure is subject to physician demands.
• Removes, cleans, disinfects, and sterilizes all surgical equipment after procedures.
• Ensures operational excellence of all vehicles and equipment by communicating defects or necessary maintenance to key stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Transports equipment to ensure that it is in the right place at the right time for necessary procedures.
