Job summary

Stryker is seeking an on-site installation technician to install and test surgical light suspensions, booms, and video integration systems. You will work with project teams and external trades, traveling nationwide to complete installations to quality standards.

Role requires learning CAD interpretations, IP networking basics, and maintaining detailed records. Travel and PPE training are provided as part of the engagement.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years related technical experience (telecom, video/audio system installation, electrical/construction, medical device, hospital biomed).
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to operate small hand tools and test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Confirm site readiness and perform detailed inventory of installable equipment.
• Install surgical light suspension systems, booms, and video integration with cabling.
• Program, test, and inspect video sources per design specs.
• Maintain accurate installation records and project documentation.
• Coordinate travel and manage daily schedules to ensure timely completion.
• Communicate progress to stakeholders and coordinate with Quality on compliance.
