Job summary

Rhode Island Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for Night shift to provide direct patient care under the supervision of the Clinical Manager. You will lead by example, delegate tasks to support staff, and participate in discharge planning while considering age-related and cultural differences.

The role requires RI RN licensure, a nursing degree (BSN preferred), and Basic Life Support; ACLS/PALS may be needed. Shift is 1900-0730 with every other weekend and holiday.

Qualifications

• Licensure as Rhode Island Registered Nurse or compact state RN license.
• Baccalaureate in Nursing preferred; current licensure to practice as RN in Rhode Island.
• Demonstrates knowledge of care for patients across life span with aging considerations.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care.
• Leads by delegating, supervising, and coordinating safe nursing care with ancillary staff.
• Evaluates care effectiveness and identifies improvement opportunities.
• Collaborates with healthcare team, patient, family and community services for outcomes.
• Assesses and teaches based on patient and family needs.
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement and research.
