Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking an experienced registered nurse to advocate for patients and provide continuity of care across the surgical floor.

The RN will assess diverse patient needs across age groups and collaborate with the health care team to meet facility goals. Ideal candidates have a Texas RN license, BLS and ACLS (or complete ACLS within 3 months), and at least two years of staff nurse experience on a surgical floor with spine and joint procedures.

Qualifications

• Texas RN license required.
• BLS certification; ACLS certification or completion within 3 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Performs ongoing data collection and assessment of physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status.
• Formulates goal-directed nursing plans based on diagnosed patient needs.
• Implements care using nursing processes to achieve patient outcomes.
• Establishes care priorities based on patient needs and available resources.
• Takes action in emergencies per protocols and documents events.
• Demonstrates knowledge of medical/surgical patient care, pain management, meds, lab values, safety and legal issues.
• Documents care accurately on floor and in patient records.
• Collaborates with the care team to deliver patient care.
• Maintains BLS and ACLS certifications and attends mandatory trainings.
