Job summary

Methodist Hospital Northeast in Texas seeks a Surgical First Assistant to join the perioperative team under the surgeon's direction. This role combines responsibilities of a Surgical Technologist and an Assistant to support safe operations and optimal patient outcomes with the circulating RN and other perioperative team members.

Education must include a high school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited Surgical First Assistant program, with licensure options such as CST, CSFA, or TS-C

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED completed.
Completion of an accredited Surgical First Assistant training program.
Meets one of the licensure/certification paths listed.
Must obtain and maintain CST/CSFA/CSA/SA-C/LSA certifications.

Responsibilities

Assist surgeon during procedures under supervision.
Perform clinical and technical skills as directed to ensure safe operations.
Collaborate with circulating RN and perioperative team.
