Job summary

Samaritan Albany General Hospital is seeking a Surgical First Assistant to assist the surgeon during operative procedures and support the perioperative team for safe, efficient patient care in Albany, Oregon.

You will work with a multidisciplinary surgical team in a busy OR, providing exposure, hemostasis, and instrumentation while following hospital policies and standards. Requires CSFA certification and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) or equivalent certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon during operative procedures.
• Provide aid in exposure, hemostasis, closure and other intraoperative technical functions.
• Support the surgical team to facilitate perioperative care and safe patient outcomes.
