Job summary

The CSFA will participate in preoperative and postoperative care, maintain a sterile environment, and collaborate with nurses, anesthesia providers, and staff to ensure optimal outcomes; requires CSFA certification, BLS, and HS diploma.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's Degree or equivalent preferred.
• CSFA certification required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Knowledge of sterile technique and OR protocols.
• Strong technical, communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during procedures, maintain exposure and hemostasis.
• Prepare, position and drape patients using sterile technique.
• Support preoperative and postoperative patient care.
• Maintain OR setup, instruments, and supplies.
• Verify patient data, consent, labs, and required docs.
• Uphold sterile field and infection control.
• Anticipate surgeon and team needs.
• Monitor equipment and report issues promptly.
• Collaborate with OR staff to ensure patient outcomes.
• Maintain documentation and comply with policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
