AdventHealth in Port Charlotte, FL is hiring a Surgical Technologist to prepare operating rooms, select instruments per surgeon preference, and assist with procedures while maintaining strict sterile technique.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Surgical Technology preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years relevant work experience preferred.
• Field of Study: N/A.

Responsibilities

• Set up operating suites according to physician preference cards.
• Determine appropriate surgical equipment and supplies.
• Assist with hemostasis, wound dressing, and drainage systems.
• Provide visualization of operative sites through tissue manipulation, retraction, suction and irrigation.
• Assist with patient positioning and prioritise safety and comfort.
• Maintain aseptic technique and monitor team for breaks in technique.
• Pass medications and prepare instruments for sterilization and transport.
