Qualifications

• 1 Year of experience required.
• CFSA - Certified Surgical First Assistant or CSA - Certified Surgical Assistant certification needed.
• Preferred: One year experience as a certified surgical technician - first assist.

Responsibilities

• Review permit to confirm procedure and special needs.
• Determine appropriate equipment needed for procedure.
• Assisting in moving and positioning of patient.
• Insert and remove Foley catheter in urinary bladder.
• Draping of patient according to surgeon guidelines.
• Provide exposure, retraction of tissue and organs for optimal visualization.
