Qualifications
1 Year of experience required.
CFSA - Certified Surgical First Assistant or CSA - Certified Surgical Assistant certification needed.
Preferred: One year experience as a certified surgical technician - first assist.
Responsibilities
Review permit to confirm procedure and special needs.
Determine appropriate equipment needed for procedure.
Assisting in moving and positioning of patient.
Insert and remove Foley catheter in urinary bladder.
Draping of patient according to surgeon guidelines.
Provide exposure, retraction of tissue and organs for optimal visualization.
