Job summary

The Health Care Authority for Baptist Health, An Affiliate of UAB Health System is seeking a Scrub Tech First Assist to support surgical teams across all specialties in the OR. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of surgical experience as a Scrub Tech.
• Successful completion of accredited First Assist course.
• CST or CSFA preferred; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Set up assigned cases and maintain a sterile field.
• Count instruments and supplies with circulating nurse.
• Communicate patient information to the Surgeon.
• Adhere to OSHA guidelines and infection control policies.
