Job summary

The surgical First Assist will provide patient care for all ages and provide leadership and direction to the perioperative team where needed. In surgery, the Surgical First Assist collaborates with the surgeon and the health care team in performing a safe operation with optimal outcomes for the patient. He/She practices in collaboration with and at the surgeon's direction during the intra-operative experience.Hours/Schedule: 40 / Mon - Fri, Four (4) 10-Hour Shifts between 6:30a - 7:00p Education: Graduate from an accredited Surgical First Assist program required. License/Certification* Certification as a Surgical First Assist (CSFA) or equivalent required.* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Physical requirementsThis position is classified as Medium Work in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles, requiring the exertion of 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work. Must be able to pass background check. We also conduct pre-employment physical and drug testing.
