Job summary

Requires graduation from an accredited Surgical First Assist program, CSFA or equivalent, BLS, and 2+ years in a surgical setting, preferably orthopedics.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Surgical First Assist program.
• Certification as a Surgical First Assist (CSFA) or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during operative and invasive procedures.
• Ensure all surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are available and functioning.
• Maintain sterile technique and environment throughout the surgical procedure.
• Provide patient care before, during, and after surgery, including positioning the patient, draping, and wound closure.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to surgical team requests promptly.
