Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise, ID, seeks a Surgical Services Equipment and Instrument Specialist to ensure availability and readiness of all surgical instruments and equipment for the OR. You will act as the primary liaison between Surgical Services and Supply Chain, support product evaluations, standardization, and training, and scrub in on cases when needed to maintain clinical expertise.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program with CST certification.
• Must be CST IV or higher per internal CST ladder.
• RNs with advanced equipment and instrumentation expertise will be considered.
• Experience with supply chain processes and inventory management.

Responsabilités

• Ensure availability and functionality of surgical equipment and instrumentation.
• Serve as liaison between Surgical Services and Supply Chain for equipment, instruments, materials, and disposables.
• Support product evaluations, trials, and standardization initiatives to improve quality and cost effectiveness.
• Coordinate with Sterile Processing, OR staff, physicians, vendors, and Supply Chain partners.
• Maintain and optimize surgeon preference cards.
• Provide education, training, and troubleshooting support for OR teams.
• Assist with inventory, special orders, and equipment repairs.
• Participate in value analysis, utilization review, and sourcing activities.
• Scrub in on cases as needed to maintain clinical expertise and support staff development.
