Job summary

Greater Regional is seeking an Environmental Services Worker for the Surgery Department in Creston, IA. The role involves daily cleaning, sanitizing, and supplying items for patient rooms and common areas in accordance with hospital policies.

Responsibilities include removing waste, restocking supplies, and assisting with linen processing while adhering to safety precautions and infection prevention education requirements.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Annual Infection Prevention education requirements as designated in IC#23 Infection Prevention Education Requirements

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms, corridors, nurses’ stations, lounges according to department SOPs.
• Dust and mop surfaces; empty trash; clean fixtures and furniture.
• Restock supplies in storage areas; assist with linen processing.
• Handle sharps and hazardous materials following safety guidelines.
• Turn over rooms between patients and clean ORs per procedure.
• Participate in disaster drills and safety trainings.
