Job summary

United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV is seeking a dedicated patient care support member to join the Endoscopy perioperative team. Under general supervision, you will process and disinfect flexible endoscopes, transport patients to and from the OR, and assist with room setup using aseptic technique.

The role requires a high school diploma and BLS certification within 90 days of hire; prior patient care or endoscopy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 90 days of hire.
• On-the-job training for patient care tasks and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate and distribute flexible endoscopes and related items.
• Transport surgical patients and assist with OR setup using aseptic technique.
• Maintain perioperative scope equipment under the responsibility of the department.
• Assist with Post-OP teardown of the surgery suite as needed.
