Job summary

WH Wheeling Hospital Inc. is seeking a Surgical Endoscopy Processing Tech to prepare and process flexible endoscopes for high-level disinfection and to transport patients to perioperative areas. The role supports OR and PACU operations and requires adherence to infection control standards.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and BLS certification within 90 days of hire; on-the-job training will be provided. 40-hour weeks, day shift, non-exempt role.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 90 days of hire.
• On-the-job training program for patient care and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs decontamination and distribution of endoscopes and items.
• Transports surgical patients to nursing units or PACU and assists with room setup using aseptic technique.
• Maintains scope equipment in perioperative services.
• Assists in post-operative tear-down and OR/endoscopy preparation.
• Cleans, decontaminates, and processes reusable patient care equipment per IFUs.
• Restocks scopes, accessories, and supplies; plans turnaround needs.
